A Wandering Back Of Ulyssian Proportions

One year ends and another year begins. Fresh with the promise of a new beginning, I revisit my much neglected blog. I have been gone a long time. I began this blog four years ago in January of 2007, so technically this would be my 4 year blogiversary if the last year or two hadn't been so post sparse. This blog began with my passion & a need for a platform to give voice to my veganism. Somewhere along the way, my little blog fell by the wayside, but my passion for being vegan has never faltered. Procrastination, excuses and doubt set in as to whether or not my blog was even interesting enough to continue or relevant- just felt like a self-indulgent, show & tell. It just seemed boring & pointless. However, when I really start reflecting on what this blog & blog community has brought to me & what I have been able to share as well, I am grateful. When I went vegan in 2006, I knew no other vegans. Blogging and at a later date,Twitter, opened up a world of vegan friends & sense of community. I had wanted to show anyone who happened upon my blog, how easy it is to be vegan and fab- that the term "vegan" was no longer synonymous with just earthy-crunchy-hemp-wearing types. I have made such amazing friends along the way, how could I not return and give thanks.

I return to my blog with the power of intention that this is my-little-blog-that-could, that it becomes a personal vehicle for change, however small- that it inspires me again to share my vegan voice with anyone interested in listening. I am filled with excitement to return to the blog community that I love. Hope this year is filled with peace, prosperity, love and even more compassion for the animals than ever before.
